We had been protesting a vet every week that works for Petland, the puppy mill superstore outside his practice. They had turned sprinklers on to drench us, car alarms that never stop, but mostly CONSTANTLY calling in false reports of us being "in the road". Well it was windy and one of our signs blew into the road. Since there were THREE cruisers parked right there watching for us to get in the road (for all six of us) I decided to play "Mother May I" and ask permission to get the sign out of the road before we got arrested, falsely of course - streets are public property, but in Plano, if you are protesting ANYTHING if you step a foot in the street you will be arrested. The people we were picketing take pictures of everything, trying desperately to get any kind of proof that we are breaking the law. We don't because we know our rights, what we can and cannot do. Too bad the police don't, or at least pretend they don't. I wanted the cops to make sure they knew we were "in the road" for a reason before the woman stepping out to get the sign was falsely arrested. Apparently, this guy doesn't like his picture taken. Why? Because he does such a wonderful job? My atty. has instructed ALL contact with the cops be recorded, because they obviously sided with the vet and had increasingly harrassed us and just trampled on our civil rights. They don't seem to understand that calling in false police reports is a crime and standing on a sidewalk (or in the street) is not! It really <b>...</b>
